Tikkurila Pinja Top is suitable for use on exterior wooden log buildings and wooden cladding. It protects the surface from moisture, sunlight and dirt, whilst still maintaining the natural surface structure of the wood.
Apply Tikkurila Pinja Top by either airless, air assisted or conventional spraying. The surface to be treated must be free of dirt, dust and mould and should be clean and dry. The moisture content of wood must be below 20%. During application and drying temperature of the air, the substrate and paint temperature must be over +10°C with relative humidity of the air below 70%. Stir the paint carefully before use. Avoid flotation.
Application (+23 °C)
For airless spraying: The product should be thinned approximately 0–10%. The recommended nozzle tip is 0.013" – 0.015" and pressure 140–180 bar. Spray angle should be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For air–assisted airless spraying: The product should be thinned approximately 0–10%.
The recommended nozzle tip is 0.013" – 0.015" and pressure 40–140 bar. Atomising air pressure should be approximately 1–3 bar. The spray angle should be chosen according to the shape of the object.
For Conventional Spraying: The product should be thinned approximately 0–10%. The recommended nozzle tip is 1.6–2.0 mm and pressure 2–3 bar.
NOTE: Wood contains resin and other colouring extractive, especially in knots. Temperature and humidity fluctuations may cause paint coat discolouration in these areas.
