Product Description

Walther Strong HD Reinforced Armoured Render Mesh is an armoured woven glass fibre mesh, coated with Alkamaxx for ultimate resistance to Alkaline ingression. This is an ALKAMAXX approved product.

Best Uses

This HD Reinforced Armoured Render Mesh is approved for use with all major plasters and renders. The armoured hybridized woven glass fibre mesh is coated with ALKAMAXX carboxylated styrene butadiene copolymer HD latex for the ultimate resistance to Alkaline ingression.

Application

This Alkamaxx approved mesh is easy to cut with a knife or scissors. The fibreglass mesh must be embedded with a 10cm overlap.

Moving continually from up to down and from inside to outside in the base coat applied on the whole surface by 10mm notched trowel, then smoothing it so that the reinforcing mesh positioned in the middle (by EPS) or in the outer third (by MW) of the base coat layer and covered completely.

Alkamaxx

This Alkamaxx coating is now one of the most alkali resistant coatings in Europe. It prevents alkaline (which is present in cements), from degrading the glass fibre, leaving it with a reduced strength.

The Walther Strong fibreglass Render mesh products offered are for use in ETICS systems and are tested and assessed in accordance with EAD 040016-01-0404 & European Technical Approval Guidelines, (ETAGs) and were elaborated as common approval guidelines under the Construction Products Directive 89/106/EEC (CPD) which includes glass fibre mesh for reinforcement of cementitious or cement-based renderings.
