Product Description

Zinsser AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint is Pliolite masonry paint that dries in temperatures as low as -5°C. Use Pliolite masonry paint on previously painted render, concrete, stone and brickwork.

Best Uses

Zinsser AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint is a Pliolite based paint for use on previously painted walls or new render, brick, stone, stucco and cured concrete plus many other surfaces. It is self-priming and will bond to existing paints without the need for sanding. This means that for many refurbishing jobs there is no need to purchase a separate primer.

Some of the performance characteristics include:

  • Can be applied in cold temperatures down to -5°C
  • Pliolite based
  • Resists attack by alkalis and acid
  • Resists dirt accumulation
  • Showerproof in just 20 minutes
  • Recoatable after 3 hours
  • Excellent resistance against cracking blistering and flaking
  • Protects against rain and severe weather

Before applying Pliolite masonry paint the surface should be clean and dry with any loose or peeling paint removed. Any mould and mildew should be removed using Blackfriar® Fungicidal Wash. After removing the existing mould and mildew, two coats of AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint will ensure that any exterior looks bright and beautiful for years.

AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint  is not intended for application to exterior floors, decks or any surface subject to water immersion or prolonged contact with water.

What is Pliolite Masonry Paint?

Pliolite is a synthetic rubber resin that is used in the formulation of some solvent based masonry paints. It is used mainly during winter months as it is fairly fast drying. Pliolite masonry paint benefits from being highly resistant to damp in the air (high humidity) during application. Pliolite masonry paint is showerproof within 20 minutes at 20 degrees C. This helps protect the surface from water damage to the surface. Pliolite paint can be applied to brick, render, pebble-dash walls in damp climates or where there is a likelihood of rainfall.
