
Rustoleum 8300 Hygienic Wall Coating Cold-Store Paint
Rustoleum Mathys 8300 Hygienic Topcoat is a mould resistant paint containing anti-fungal additives. A Single pack hygienic topcoat that protects against mild chemical exposure, occasional product spillage, frequent chemical cleaning, intermittent high humidity and moisture.
Rustoleum Cold Store Paint are fast drying and non yellowing which is an ideal product for use in cold stores. Rustoleum Mould Resistant 8300 is based on vinyl acrylics with non leaching fungicides.
Best Uses
This Cold Store Paint is ideal for use in refrigerated areas, and offers quick drying time even in temperatures below freezing.
8300 Topcoats should be applied on mineral substrates primed with Primer 8399. Resists mild chemical exposure, occasional product spillage, frequent chemical cleaning, intermittent high humidity and moisture. Can be applied on 8399 or well-prepared previous coatings. 8300 is classified Class 1 Surface Spread of Flame according to BS 476; part 7 : 1987.

Application
SURFACE PREPARATION
New concrete, plastered or brick surfaces should cure and dry for at least 30 days prior to the application of coatings. Remove grease, oil and all other surface contaminations by alkaline or high pressure (steam) cleaning. Wash total surface with plenty of fresh/warm water or high pressure (steam) cleaning in order to remove all remnants of contamination and cleaners ND14 or FK111. Sand previous coatings, which are in good condition to remove gloss and to roughen the surface slightly. Remove non-adhering old coatings. The surface must be clean and dry during application.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
To ensure homogeneity, coating materials should be thoroughly stirred prior to use.
APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Temperature of air, substrate and coating material between -10° and 35°C and relative humidity below 85%. The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above dew point. Below 0°C the surface should be free from ice.
APPLICATION & THINNING: BRUSH
- -10 to 5°C: 10-15% volume RUST-OLEUM Thinner 633.
- > 5°C: Up to 10% volume RUST-OLEUM Thinner 633. Use brushes based on a mixture of synthetic/natural bristles.
APPLICATION & THINNING: ROLLER
- -10 to 5°C: 10-15% volume RUST-OLEUM Thinner 633.
- > 5°C: Up to 10% volume RUST-OLEUM Thinner 633. Use medium nap polyamide 8-12 mm rollers. Roller application may require 2 coats to achieve recommended DFT
APPLICATION & THINNING: AIRLESS SPRAY
-10 to 5°C: Up to 10% volume RUST-OLEUM Thinner 160.
> 5°C: up to 15% volume RUST-OLEUM Thinner 633. Pneumatic and electric airless equipment. Tip size: 0.011-0.017 inch. Fluid pressure: 150 - 200 bar. Low temperatures may affect the atomising properties.
APPLICATION & THINNING: AIR-ATOMISED SPRAY
- -10 to 5°C: Up to 10% volume RUST-OLEUM Thinner 160
- > 5°C 10-15% volume RUST-OLEUM Thinner 633. Gravity cup and pressure cup. Tip size: 1.2 -1.8 mm. Atomising pressure: 2 - 4 bar.

Rustoleum 8300 Cold Store Paint is designed for use on walls and ceilings and can be used on a variety of different surfaces, including masonry, plaster and concrete. The Food and Beverage industries are ideal places in which to use this Paint as they often contain refrigerated conditions with low temperatures.
