Product Description

Centrecoat Epoxy Power Floated Floor Primer is an ideal primer to aid adhesion of further coatings to smooth, non porous surfaces and open porous surfaces. It can be applied to power floated concrete, quarry tiles and ceramic tiles to aid the adhesion of subsequent coatings.

Best Uses

Centrecoat Epoxy Power Floated Floor Primer is best used to aid adhesion of further coatings on smooth non-porous surfaces and open porous surfaces. It can be applied to power floated concrete, quarry tiles, ceramic tiles and aluminium.

Also suitable as a primer prior to self levelling, screed or patch repair systems.

Please note that Centrecoat Epoxy Power Floated Floor Primer is intended as a primer only, not a wearing surface, and must always be coated with an appropriate topcoat. This product is not a solution to rising damp.

Application

Centrecoat Epoxy Power Floated Floor Primer can be applied by brush, squeegee or solvent resistant roller.

New concrete Floors

If intending to apply to new concrete, this must be at least 4 weeks old before considering coating the substrate or moisture less than 5%. The substrate should be clean, free from laitance that has been removed preferably by techniques which should include (depending on the degree of contamination) acid etching, light mechanical scrabbling, blasting, grinding or degreasing.

Existing Concrete Floors

When applying to existing concrete floors, ensure to remove all dirt, oil, grease or other surface contaminants by enclosed shot blasting, scarification or mechanical grinding. Fats, oils or greases must be removed by mechanical means and detergent washing.

Ensure the product is well worked into the surface. Do not exceed the coverage rates stated on the product Data Sheet. Do not over roll. One coat is usually sufficient, however, porous floors may require two coats.
