Centrecoat Moisture Blocker is particularly suitable for walls and floors in car parks, internal and external surfaces, retaining walls, walkways or concrete walls and floors.
Surface Preparation: Surface must be clean, and free of paint, sealer, oil, adhesive, curing compound, form release agent and / or anything that will not allow Centrecoat Moisture Blocker to penetrate the substrate. Areas which require cleaning must be cleaned by scrubbing, pressure washing or other methods to remove any surface dust, dirt or other contaminants.
Centrecoat Moisture Blocker may be applied to damp surfaces as long as no standing water or puddles are present. Heavy contaminated areas must be pretreated with the appropriate Centrecoat cleaner for your substrate.
Methods of application: Spray, roller or brush. Apply the first coat of Centrecoat Moisture Blocker at a rate of 5m2 per litre. The concrete or masonry substrate is dry normally after 1 - 2 hours at 20°C. Apply the second coat of Moisture Blocker at a rate of 10m2 per litre, making sure the substrate is wet for 30 minutes. Allow the surface to dry for 24hrs. During the drying stage, good circulation of air is required. Once the moisture contents drop to a reading within the required limits specified by the end user of the floor covering manufacturer, the substrate must be cleaned to remove any surface crystals or efflorescence materials that might be pushed to the surface as a result of the treatment. Cleaning can be done by any method you may find suitable, such as mopping, etc.
