Hempel Hempadur Multi Strength 45703 is a self-priming, two-component, high build, aluminium pigmented pure epoxy paint which cures to an abrasion and corrosion resistant coating.

Best Uses

Hempadur Multi Strength 45703 is recommended for use as a primer for multi-strength systems in an immersion and splash zone service.

Application

Application is by Airless Spray. All surfaces should be cleaned prior to application. Remove any oil, grease or other contaminants with a suitable detergent. Salts detergents and other contaminants should be removed by high pressure fresh water cleaning.

New build

Abrasive blasting to min. Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) / SP 10 (SSPC).
Remove dust, blast media and loose materials.

Maintenance and Repair

Spot abrasive blasting to min. PSa 2½ (ISO 8501-2) / SP 10(SSPC).
Minor areas can be cleaned by power tool to St 3 provided the surface is roughened and not polished.
Remove dust, blast media and loose materials.

Epoxy coats have an inherent tendency of chalking in outdoor exposure. This does not affect the performance of the coating.
