Best Uses

Hempel Hempalin Primer 12050 is a general purpose primer for Hempalin systems for protection of steel in mild to medium atmospheric corrosive environments.

This single pack zinc phosphate primer is ideal for new build and maintenance. Hempalin Primer 12050 is fast drying and can be applied easily via brush or roller.

Hempel Hempalin Primer 12050 complies with EU Directive 2004/42/EC, subcategory i.

Application

Remove oil, grease and other contaminants by suitable detergent cleaning. Remove salts, detergents and other contaminants by high pressure fresh water cleaning.

For New Build
Abrasive blast clean to min. Sa 2 (ISO 8501-1) / SP 6 (SSPC). All damage of shop primer and contamination from storage and fabrication should be thoroughly mechanically/chemically cleaned
prior to final painting. Remove dust, blast media and loose materials.

For Maintenance and Repair
Spot abrasive blast clean to min. PSa 2 (ISO 8501-2) / SP 6 (SSPC). Minor areas may be hand or power tool cleaned instead of abrasive blasting. Remove dust, blast media and loose materials.

This product contains heavy particles. Stir well before use. Apply via airless spray, air spray or brush.
