Hempel Pro Acrylic 55883 is a two-component, isocyanate free, acrylic finishing coat with good gloss and colour retention. It is resistant to water and spillage of aliphatic hydrocarbons. Minimum curing temperature is 0°C/32°F. Conforms to Norsok M-501, system no. 1.

Hempel Pro Acrylic 55883 is best used as a finishing coat for protection of structural steel in severely corrosive environment, where light fastness and gloss retention are required.

Application

SURFACE PREPARATION: According to specification

Apply only on a dry and clean surface with a temperature above the dew point to avoid condensation. Minimum temperature for curing is: 0°C/32°F. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

Notes

Certain lead-free red and yellow colours may discolour when exposed to chlorine-containing atmosphere.
May be specified in another film thickness than indicated depending on purpose and area of use. This will alter spreading rate and may influence drying time and overcoating interval. Normal range dry is: 50-100 micron/2-4 mils
