International Intersleek 731
International Intersleek 731 is a two pack, silicone elastomer tie coat used to promote adhesion between the specified priming system and the Intersleek finish coat.
Best Uses
Intersleek 731 is intended for use to promote adhesion between the specified priming system and the International Paints Intersleek finish coat. It is suitable for both Newbuildings or maintenance and repair.
Application
The recommended method of application is by Airless Spray. Brush application is suitable for small areas only and will require more than one coat. Please Note: This product is not suitable for application by Conventional Spray or Roller.
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from contamination. High pressure fresh water wash or fresh water wash, as appropriate, and remove all oil or grease, soluble contaminants and other foreign matter in accordance with SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning.
Surface Preparations
Intersleek 731 should always be applied over a recommended primer coating scheme. The primer surface should be dry and free from all contamination, and Intersleek 731 must be applied within the overcoating intervals specified (consult the relevant product data sheet).
Any areas of breakdown, damage etc. should be prepared to the specified standard (eg. Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1:2007) and primed prior to the application of Intersleek 731.
