Jotun Tankguard Storage is a two component polyamine cured phenolic / novolac epoxy coating that is specially formulated for tank lining. Provides excellent chemical resistance.

Best Uses

Jotun Tankguard Storage is suitable as a primer, mid-coat or finish coat in atmospheric and immersed
environments. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel and concrete
substrates.

Jotun Tankguard Storage is specially formulated as an internal lining for offshore, onshore and buried tanks and pipes such as chemical storage, waste water, grey water, process water, concrete bund, fire service lines and drilling mud tanks. Also ideal for use in pressure vessels.

This coating has very good resistance to high temperature products. Suitable for the storage and transportation of aviation fuel.

Application

  • Carbon steel: Prepare to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1)
  • Previously Coated Surfaces: Clean, dry and undamaged compatible coating
  • Stainless Steel: Abrasive blast cleaning to achieve a surface profile using non-metallic abrasive media which is suitable to achieve a sharp and angular surface profile.
  • Galvanised Steel: Sweep blast-cleaning using non-metallic abrasive leaving a clean, rough and even pattern.
  • Concrete: Dry abrasive blast cleaning to SSPCSP
    13/NACE No. 6.

Apply via airless spray. Use a brush for stripe coating. Only apply via a roller if coating scallops, ratholes, small pipes etc.
