Keim Glass Fibre Mesh is used to reinforce joints or cracks before application of Keim Renders.

KEIM Glasfaser-Gittermatte (Glassfibre mesh) is embedded centred or in the upper third with an overlap of 10 cm depending upon employed system. Remove spreader ridges after drying. Within the reinforcement layer a trowel cut is performed at joints between adjacent components.

Best Uses

Keim Glassfibre Reinforcement Mesh for use to reinforce cracks on solid mineral surfaces and for incorporation into the Keim Universal Render system.

Application

If the whole surface is cracked, apply mesh embedded in a thin layer of Keim Universal Render, overlapping where pieces meet. For isolated cracks, mesh may be solely applied over the crack and surrounding 20cm. Cracks should be chased out and those above 4mm should be filled with Keim Universal Render prior to the base coat application. Ambient and substrate temperature should be between 5° C and 30° C.
