New 2023 formulation - Now available in litres

Best Uses

Mapei Dursilite has an attractive velvety finish, with a low dirt retention capacity. Ideal for all types of new, old and painted internal surfaces. Mapei Dursilite is also suitable for well cured or cementitious, lime or gypsum render, as long as they are regular, well bonded and have no flaky or crumbly areas.

  • Highly washable
  • Excellent hiding
  • Scrub resistant: highly durable
  • High saturated colours: full white and intense colours

Painting of all old, new or already painted interior surfaces. When applied on interior walls, Mapei Dursilite adheres to all types of masonry, renders, smoothing layers and on old paints as long as suitably prepared. It can also be used on exterior walls for painting partially covered surfaces protected from direct exposure to sunlight and rain.

Application

The surfaces to be treated must be cured, perfectly clean, cohesive and dry. Remove any loose or |aking material from the surface. Smoothen all unevenness of the substrate (holes, cracks) and repair deteriorated parts to reach a sufficiently flat and even surface.

According to the type of substrate, select the primer to use: Mapei Malech, transparent acrylic primer, properly diluted, or Dursilite Base Coat, pigmented acrylic undercoat, white or in a shade similar to the {nal colour, recommended especially in case of bright colours with limited hiding power. Wait for the complete drying of Mapei Malech or Dursilite Base Coat (6-12 hours) and proceed with the application of Dursilite.

Dilute Dursilite taking care to thoroughly blend it; use a drill at low speed if necessary. Dursilite can be applied by brush, roller or spray in one or two coats. Wait 6-12 hours between coats depending on humidity and temperature, ensuring that the previous layer is completely dry.

Dilute with fresh water 20 - 30%.
