Mapei Latexplan Trade Fast

Mapei Latexplan Trade Fast is a two component fast drying smoothing compound, used for levelling and smoothing differences in thickness of 3 to 10mm, prior to the installation of floor coverings. Suitable for use with underfloor heating.

Best Uses

Mapei Latexplan Trade Fast is ideal for smoothing and levelling floors where rapid installation is required. Use to smooth over existing flooring in concrete, ceramic, porcelain tiles, terrazzo and natural stone (after applying a suitable primer if required). As the name suggests, Latexplan Trade Fast is rapid setting, it can be walked on within one hour and is ready for floor coverings in less than 3 hours.

Latexplan Trade Fast is suitable for high intensity, wheelchair traffic and chairs with castors. It can also be used over most old adhesive residues, including bitumen.

Application

Always ensure that the substrate is clean, structurally sound, and free from grease, oil, paint, plaster residues, surface contamination (including surface hardeners), loosely applied materials, and additives that may compromise the bond.

On highly porous and absorbent surfaces, you will need a coat of primer to be applied prior to the application of smoothing compounds etc. This will reduce pinholes and air bubbles on the subsequent compounds above.
Eco Prim T Plus is suitable for absorbent substrates and surfaces.

For non porous surfaces use Eco Prim Grip Plus. For using surface damp proof membrane, ensure primer is not applied prior to the application of the membrane but above it.

Mix the product as per the instructions on the Product Data Sheet.

The mixed product is then poured onto the prepared subfloor and spread with a smooth edged trowel to the required thickness in one operation. Additionally, the use of a spiked roller will help to ensure a smooth, even finish that will not require any further attention prior to the floor coverings bring installed.
