Mapei has also developed fast drying quick-setting binders which set after only a few hours making them suitable for application to existing concrete, rigid joints, cracks in floors and joints between walls, and screed substrates and can be applied by hand or with a pump in a single layer of 5 to 40 mm. Mapei also produce fibre-reinforced cementitious and epoxy mortars to increase the tensile strength of the screed making it suitable for use in swimming pools, repairs to precast concrete structures, terraces and balconies or over existing ceramic or stone floor slabs before subsequent finishing materials are applied. Mapei Mapegrout T60 is a single component, sulphate-resistant, fibre-reinforced, shrinkage compensated, thixotropic mortar for the repair of concrete and reinforced structures. Mapegrout T60 has been approved for use by London Underground Limited (LUL).

Mapei has an enviable name for producing self-levelling compounds used in shopping centres, factories, workshops, store rooms, plant rooms, industrial floors, garages and warehouses, as well as septic rooms and many applications throughout the food processing industry. Mapei has developed fast drying industrial floor screeds that are not only water based cementitious powders but are available as solvent-free epoxy flooring system applied at a thickness: 2-4 mm, for floors with a vapour barrier. .
