Mapei Mapeproof 1K Turbo

Mapei Mapeproof 1K Turbo is a single component, solvent free, moisture curing and rapid drying polyurethane surface membrane with very low emission of VOC's, for use for waterproofing cementitious screeds that are not subject to rising damp.

Best Uses

Mapeproof 1K Turbo has been developed for use for waterproofing cementitious screeds, that are not subject to rising damp, but have a residual humidity content higher than the British Standards 75% RH (BS8203) for laying resilient and wood flooring.

Application

Mapeproof 1K Turbo is suitable for consolidating cementitious floor screeds which are mechanically weak, as well as a waterproofing treatment before laying wooden flooring, to prevent a failure due to excessive residual humidity in the cementitious floor screed.

• Mapei Mapeproof 1K Turbo is a single-component polyurethane primer which hardens due to the humidity present in the surrounding air and in the screed.
• Offers a fast return to service to light foot traffic.
• Quickly becomes touch dry so that parquet wood flooring can be laid after a very short time (after approximately 2 hours in normal conditions of temperature and humidity).
• Does not contain solvents, it is also odourless and non-flammable.
• Has a very low emission level of VOC's (volatile organic compounds) (EMICODE EC1 R). Due to the total absence of solvents and odour, Mapeproof 1K Turbo may also be used on sites which are located close to inhabited areas (such as flats, schools, offices, etc.).

After application and rapid curing of the resin, the substrate treated with Mapeproof 1K Turbo becomes more consistent, harder and is more abrasion resistant.
