Mapei UltraCare Acid Cleaner

Mapei UltraCare Acid Cleaner is formulated for the cleaning of internal or external surfaces (including façades) that have been grouted using cementitious grouts.

Mapei UltraCare Acid Cleaner is suitable for easily removing excess installation cementitious grout and adhesive residues from installed stone and tile leaving a perfectly clean surface.

UltraCare Acid Cleaner is suitable for use on acid-resistant materials such as porcelain, ceramic, glass mosaics, quarry tiles, terracotta and acid-resistant natural stone.

Suitable for the removal of:

• Cementitious residues
• Organic dirt
• Limescale
• Rust stains
• Salt efflorescence’s from terracotta
• Ceramic slip from porcelain and ceramic material
• Cleaning of dirt accumulated on site on building materials such as ceramics, sinks and tanks, anodized aluminium, stainless steel, chrome plating, etc.

Mapei UltraCare Acid Cleaner contains detergent, so will clean the substrate whilst removing stains and residues, eliminating the need for a separate clean.

Mapei UltraCare Acid Cleaner has many other product functions, making it truly multi-purpose thanks to its acid formulation that also contains surfactants that give it a cleaning ability.

Application

UltraCare Acid Cleaner is a concentrated liquid acid cleaner in aqueous solution. The product can be used undiluted or diluted with water according to the level of concentration necessary for the specific task and the type of surface to be treated.

For the removal of cementitious grout and adhesive residues from acid-resistant surfaces, we advise dilution between 1:10 and 1:5 depending upon the level of residues to be removed and the type of surface to be treated. Apply the diluted solution to the surface and leave in contact for 5 minutes. Then work across the surface using either a single-disc cleaning machine or an emulsifying pad. Remove the solution from the surface and then rinse with plenty of clean water. For heavy residues you may need to repeat the above procedure.

This product is formulated to not damage ceramic coatings, glass coatings and metal profiles however, given the variety of materials available on the market, a preliminary test at different concentrations is always recommended.
