Owatrol Marine Deck Cleaner

Owatrol Marine Deck Cleaner is a powerful cleaner and brightener that removes ground in and surface dirt while restoring a bright, vibrant look to fibreglass and grey, weather-beaten marine wood such as teak and mahogany that is unfinished, to its natural colour without bleaching.

Best Uses

Owatrol Marine Deck Cleaner is ideal for reviving neglected boat decks and handrails, neutralising stripped surfaces before applying a finish, degreasing tropical hard woods to aid penetration of your chosen finish, cleaning previously coated wood surfaces which are dirty, or lightening and restoring greyed weathered marine wood.

Application

Apply using a soft brush, stiff bristle / nylon brush, pressure washer. Wear chemical resistant gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing. Shake container thoroughly before use. Cover areas you want to protect. Apply between 5°C and 35°C. Do not apply on a hot surface; product will dry too quickly. If cleaning vertical surfaces, work from bottom to top to avoid streaking.

For Wood Application: Wet surface with fresh, clean water. Apply product with a synthetic brush or roller (medium or long pile). Scrub surface with a stiff nylon / synthetic brush. Leave to stand for approx 10-20 minutes. If surface starts to dry, dampen with a mist application of water. Scrub surface whilst rinsing with water or use a pressure washer (max. 60 bar). If required repeat procedure. Allow to dry 48 hours or until the wood meets the moisture content required by the chosen finish.

For Plastic or GRP: Wet surface with fresh clean water. Apply Owatrol Deck Cleaner using a brush. Leave to work 10-20 minutes. Scrub surface with a soft or medium nylon scrubbing brush. Rinse with large amounts of fresh clean water.

For Rust Stains: Wet surface with fresh clean water. Apply Owatrol Deck Cleaner with a stiff nylon scrubbing brush working in to rust stain. Leave to work a minimum of 10 minutes or until stain has gone. Scrub surface with stiff nylon scrubbing brush. Rinse with large amounts of fresh clean water.
