Product Description

ResDev Pumaflow ESD is an easy to clean, seamless medium duty, flow applied epoxy floor topping, which is designed with the highest order of durability, impact and abrasion resistance.

Best Uses

Pumaflow ESD is medium duty flow applied epoxy floor topping with static dissipative properties, making it ideal for use in medium traffic areas in the folowing environments: laboratories, healthcare (including operating theatres), food and beverage areas, clean rooms, electronics manufacturing, hospitality, and education.

Due consideration should be given to the choice of footwear and truck wheels, to ensure that moving persons and vehicles are not insulated from the floor surface.

ResDev Pumaflow ESD can be used as part of an ESD Flooring system.

Application

When using as part of an ESD flooring system, the system should consist of the following:

  • 1 coat ResDev Pumaprime SF - When dry, install copper tape grid as directed in the Pumaflow ESD data sheet.
  • 1 coat ResDev Pumaprime ESD
  • ResDev Pumaflow ESD @ 2.5-4mm thickness
  • Please note, a qualified electrician must connect the copper tape to the earthing points.

Always ensure that the correct prepartion is carried out prior to applying ResDev Pumaflow ESD.

In flow applied systems, there is a tendency for the finish to mirror any imperfections in the substrate. Therefore, the preferred method method for these systems is grinding, or light vacuum-contained shot-blasting. These methods are preferred over planing. Percussive scabbling or acid etching is not recommended. The substrate should be finished to a surface regularity when tested according to BS8204-1 of class SR1, otherwise a scratch coat will be required. Conductive floors must be laid to a uniform thickness which may require the use of a scratch coat.

Appearance

Pumaflow ESD will provide a seamless and smooth high gloss, finish, which will require regular polishing with a metallised conductive polish. Without this, the product may scratch due to abrasive particles and dust with use. This is not detrimental to the product’s performance.

Pumaflow ESD is not colour fast and may yellow over time. The rate of change will depend on UV light and heat levels and cannot be predicted. Due to the conductive carbon aggregate content, light colours are not available and the final colour will be darker than the corresponding non-ESD product. There is a possibility of shade differences between mixes if mixing times/conditions vary. This does not compromise the product’s performance.
