Product Description

Rustoleum Pegakote Water Based 2 Pack Epoxy Floor Paint for use in garages, warehouses, showrooms, corridors, indoor car parks, workshops etc.

NEW FORMULATION AND TIN SIZES FOR 2024

Rust-Oleum Pegakote Epoxy Floor Paint is a very hard two-component water dilutable epoxy coating designed for interior use on floors and walls. Provides superior abrasion resistance, resistant to oils and solvents, easy to clean, almost odourless and solvent free. Pegakote is suitable for use in garages, warehouses, showrooms, corridors, indoor car parks, workshops, commercial kitchens etc. Provides better resistance to hot tires compared to the previous formulation.

Best Uses

Rust-Oleum Pegakote Epoxy Floor Paint is best used in garages, warehouses, showrooms, corridors, indoor car parks and workshops. Rust-Oleum Pegakote is suitable for use on walls as well as floors and we would advise that this product only be used for indoor applications. Recommended for use on floors that are subjected to heavy abrasion as the product provides very good abrasion resistance and has excellent anti slip properties. Rust-Oleum Pegakote has been used for painting large indoor car parks, as you can see in the case study history.

  • Exceptionally abrasion resistant
  • Better resistance to hot tires
  • Tintable smooth satin finish
  • Easy to apply and clean
  • Resistant to oils and solvents

Application

The substrate should be dry and clean, free from ascending humidity and sufficiently coherent (tensile strength min. 6 kg/cm²). Use Rustoleum Primers 3333 or 3366 if applying directly on tiles and power-floated concrete.

Curing compounds in case of poly-concrete have to be removed by means of sand or grit blasting. On new concrete or non-porous concrete, remove cement grout by sand or grit blasting, treatment with Rustoleum Surfa-Etch 108. There is obligation to rinse abundantly and to allow drying through of the surfaces. Or use Rustoleum 5401WB Epoxy Impregnation Primer. Pegakote may not be applied on an elastic paint coat or a moving substrate.

To ensure homogeneity, coating materials should be thoroughly stirred prior to use. Stir the activator thoroughly using an electrical mixer at low speed. Add progressively under stirring to the base. Stir the mixture thoroughly until an even colour and consistency are obtained during minimum 3 minutes. Temperature of the mixed materials should be at least 10°C.

  • For application by brush, if necessary, dilute with water.
  • For application by roller, dilute 1st coat with maximum 10% volume water. Apply 2nd coat undiluted. Or you can use the Rustoleum 5401WB Epoxy Impregnation Primer
  • For application by airless spray, use nozzle: 015 - 017 at pressure 220 bars. 1st coat: dilute with 5 - 10% volume water. 2nd coat: dilute with max. 5% volume water

In order to become a solid gloss finish, please respect the consumption quantities of the second layer, this means that a tin of 5 L has to be applied on a surface of 6-8 m² which is 30-40m² for 5 liter.

Surfaces and Environment

Rust-Oleum Pegakote Epoxy Floor Paint is best used in domestic and commercial garages, warehouses, commercial kitchens, showrooms, corridors, indoor car parks and workshops.
