Sherwin Williams Dura-Plate UHS is a rapid return to service, high build, edge retentive tank lining for prepared steel or concrete surfaces industrial and marine exposures.
Dura-Plate UHS is best suited for use over prepared steel or concrete surfaces in industrial and marine exposures such as ballast tank interiors, oil storage tank interiors, refined fuel storage tanks, potable water tanks interiors and pipe (Certified to NSF/ANSI 61), water and waste treatment plants, primary and secondary containment areas where edge protection fi lm build properties are required. Meets MIL-PRF-23236, Type VII, Class 5, 7, 9 and 11, Grade C. Suitable for use with cathodic protection systems
For steel prepare to BS EN ISO 8501-1 2007 Sa2½. Temperature (air, surface): 10°C minimum, 43°C maximum. 3°C above dew point. Material should be 21°C to 29°C for optimum application characteristics. Relative humidity: 85% maximum. Note: Recommended application procedure direct to steel: Apply a 125-150 micron coat to the substrate. Allow material to “wet” the surface. Then apply additional material, to bring total film thickness to the recommended range. Minimum recommended surface preapration: Surface must be clean, dry and in sound condition. Remove all oil, dust, grease, dirt, loose rust and other foreign material to ensure adequate adhesion. Apply using airless spray, or bursh and roller for stripe coats and touch up.

The manufacturers data sheets are available for download from this website. It is your responsibility to read and understand all aspects of the data sheets before you place an order and prior to application. Please pay special attention to the preparation, mixing and application temperatures of the product, cleaning of substrate and environmental factors such as temperature, rain etc. Quoted coverage rates are based on the manufacturers theoretical rates and may vary depending upon substrates absorption, texture and application. We always recommend a test is carried out to ensure suitability.
Customer further agrees that Promain have no liability for any errors or omissions contained within the Product Data Sheets and are not liable for failure due to misapplication or inadequate substrate cleaning and preparation. For more information please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
