PRODUCT DETAILS

Sherwin Williams Fast Clad 7240 is a user friendly, rapid curing epoxy, pigmented with micaceous iron oxide (MIO) giving it superior barrier protection.

Can be used in conjunction with high performance primers for very high durability up to C5 high corrosivity environments or direct to metal up to C4 environments (as defined by ISO 12944:2018).

Best Uses

Sherwin Williams Fast Clad 7240 is best used as an intermediate in conjunction with high performance primers.
Please note it is not suitable for immersion service.

Fast Clad 7240 can be applied direct to metal. Where good colour and gloss retention is required in an external environment, or a full decorative finish is required in an internal environment, a topcoat designed specifically for this role should be chosen. A selection of available topcoats can be found listed in the data sheet under Recommended Topcoats.

Application

Fast-Clad 7240 may be applied between 100 and 225 microns DFT in one coat depending on specification requirement. As many projects will differ in terms of client requirements and exposure environments, for detailed project specifications please contact our Technical Team for advice.
