Teknos Helo Aqua is ideal for the treatment and protection of internal wooden floors, parquet flooring, wooden stairs, stair balustrade wooden furniture such as tables or chairs and wooden toys. Suitable for sponge, spray or brush application.
Available in 3 sheen levels:
The wooden surface must be dry, carefully sanded and cleaned from dust and other impurities. Stir Teknos Helo Aqua well both before use and between the applications, but be careful not to let air into the varnish.
Untreated parquets and wooden plank floors:
Prime with 15% diluted HELO AQUA 80 using brush, trowel or roller. Finish with 2 - 3 coats of HELO AQUA 20 using brush or trowel. Spread out the varnish in the direction of the pattern and the grain of the wood.
Previously varnished floors:
It is recommended that the surfaces are sanded to bare wood and that the instructions above for untreated parquet and wooden plank floors are followed. If the old varnished coat is in good condition HELO AQUA 20 varnish can be applied according to the instructions for finishing to a surface that has been carefully sanded
(sanding paper no. 150 or finer). In this case, however, the varnish is first to be tested on a small area to ensure proper adhesion.
Stairs and furniture:
Brush application is recommended for stairs and furniture. Prime with HELO AQUA 80, if needed. Apply first a thin coat of HELO AQUA 20 varnish and let it dry for at least one hour. Sand the surface and remove all sanding dust carefully. Apply a second coat of varnish and let dry for about 3 hours before applying the third coat.
