Jotun Penguard Clear Sealer is a two component transparent polyamide cured high molecular weight epoxy sealer coating for concrete. Jotun Penguard Clear Sealer can also be used as primer or finish coat in a complete system in atmospheric environments. Suitable for concrete exposed to a wide range of environments.

Application

For coated surfaces, ensure compatible coating is clear dry and undamaged. For concrete ensure it has a minimum of 4 weeks curing time with a moisture content of no more than 5%. Concrete should be a minimum of 28 days old, applying any coating before this time will greatly increase the chance of the coating de-bonding. Low pressure water wash to a rough, clean, dry and laitance free surface. Optimum performance, including adhesion, corrosion protection, heat resistance and chemical resistance is achieved with recommended surface preparation. Do not attempt to speed up the curing process by blowing hot air on to the wet coating film as this may lead to skin drying/curing, entrapped solvents and consequently solvent blistering and inferior corrosion protection.

Anti skid aggregate should only be added in the final coat, and should not be used in single coat systems. Spread the aggregate evenly on the surface before half of time to Surface dry. Use Jotun Anti-Skid, fine particle size (180 - 250 μm), for coatings applied in 50 to 150 μm DFT. The recommended usage is 1.5 - 2.0 kg per 10 litres of paint.
