Jotun Jotamastic Plus is a two component amine cured epoxy mastic coating. It is a surface tolerant, high solids, high build and specially designed for areas where optimum surface preparation is not possible or desired.
Jotun Jotamastic Plus provides long lasting protection in environments with high corrosivity. Formulated to be used as primer, mid coat, finish coat or as single coat system in atmospheric and immersed environments. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel and aged coating surfaces. Primarily designed for maintenance and repair. For marine, it is suitable for outside hulls, exterior and interior areas. Recommended for offshore environments, including splash zones, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, mining equipment and general structural steel.
- Jotamastic Plus is a fast drying - faster over coating interval
- Compatible with a wide range of topcoats
- Aluminium flakes increase corrosion protection and water resistance
- Unrivalled penetration, adhesion and surface tolerance
- Long lifetime expectations
- Low VOC and solvent emission
- Limited surface preparation - saving time
- One all season curing agent 0-40°C
- Jotamastic Plus is easy to apply by airless spray as well as brush and roller for difficult to reach areas
- Problem free application - good film formation
Prepare carbon and shop primed steel to SA 2. For coated surfaces, ensure the substrate is clean. dry and undamaged while being a compatible coating. Apply using airless spray. Brush is recommended for stripe coating and small areas. Care must be given to achieve the specified dry film thickness. Roller may be used for small areas though is not recommended for the first primer coat. Care must be taken to achieve the correct DFT.

The manufacturers data sheets are available for download from this website. It is your responsibility to read and understand all aspects of the data sheets before you place an order and prior to application. Please pay special attention to the preparation, mixing and application temperatures of the product, cleaning of substrate and environmental factors such as temperature, rain etc. Quoted coverage rates are based on the manufacturers theoretical rates and may vary depending upon substrates absorption, texture and application. We always recommend a test is carried out to ensure suitability.
Customer further agrees that Promain have no liability for any errors or omissions contained within the Product Data Sheets and are not liable for failure due to misapplication or inadequate substrate cleaning and preparation. For more information please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
