Cellulose paints can be applied to a wide range of surfaces. They are especially useful where faster drying time is necessary due to its air drying nature. These paints require cellulose thinners to dissolve the binder. This in turn allows the evaporation of the solvent hence making it a ‘fast drying’ product. Cellulose paints can be particularly helpful for projects such as shop fronts, window and door frames, machinery or even the likes of picture frames.
Synthetic paint, also known as enamel, is a very hard wearing paint option. It will generally provide a smooth finish with 2-3 coats. However, they have a longer drying time than cellulose paint as synthetic paint dries by chemically hardening. Promain recommend synthetic paints for use on car panels, farm machinery, motorbikes and bicycles even kitchen appliances.
