Mapei Silancolor Primer Plus is a silane and siloxane based primer to even out absorption of substrates to make them suitable for painting with the Silancolor Plus range.
Best Uses
Mapei Silancolor Primer Plus forms the base for the Silancolor Plus system for protecting walls. Resisting the growth of mould and mildew, Silancolor Primer Plus performs its protective action right from the start of the painting cycle to prevent any growth or spread of algae or mildew. Suitable for internal and external use, this primer will protect against chemical attack, UV rays and damp while maintaining the breathable characteristics of the substrate, forming a water repellent coat.
Application
New surfaces or surfaces that have been patched up with repair mortar must be well cured, perfectly clean, sound and dry. Completely remove all traces of oil or grease from the surface and any parts which are not well attached. Eliminate all traces of mildew, mould or fungi with Silancolor Cleaner Plus. Silancolor Pro Plus is ready to use - shake well prior to use. Apply with a brush, roller or spray. Protect from rain for at least 12 hours. Primer can be painted over after 24hrs.
