Mapei UltraCare HD Cleaner is a concentrated high performing professional detergent to remove organic dirt and to undertake a deep clean of surfaces. It is also effective as wax remover for water-based and metal-flake waxes.

Best Uses

Mapei UltraCare HD Cleaner is an excellent product to clean particularly dirty surfaces such as porcelain, ceramic, glass, unpolished natural stone, concrete, terracotta, terrazzo. When used undiluted it will also remove stains and pre-treatment from porcelain tiles.

Thanks to its effective cleaning and degreasing action, Mapei UltraCare HD Cleaner is ideal for the preparation of existing ceramic and stone material before installing “tile on tile”, with a cementitious adhesive or before applying a cementitious levelling compound. This will ensure full adhesion and to avoid detachments. When used for this purpose, the substrate will need to be rinsed with plenty of water afterwards.

Mapei UltraCare HD cleaner is also ideal for the restoration of surfaces, including removal of previous water-based and metallic wax treatments.


Always test on a small hidden area before full use. Use UltraCare HD Cleaner undiluted to remove stains from porcelain tiles. Apply to the stain and the whole area of the tile and leave to act until completely dried (about one hour at +23°C and 50% relative humidity). Then proceed to wash with water and then rinse. The use of an abrasive sponge such as a white Scotch-Brite® pad may be used during washing.

Use UltraCare HD Cleaner diluted with water in ratio from 1 : 10 to 1 : 20 for deep cleaning of surfaces. Apply the diluted solution to the surface and leave to act for 5-10 minutes and then work over the surface with a single-disc cleaning machine or with an emulsifying pad. Remove the solution and then rinse with plenty of clean water.

In case of stubborn dirt or grease, UltraCare HD Cleaner can be diluted with water in a ratio of 1 : 5 in order to increase the concentration. Repeat the process if dirt remains. Always remove the solution and ensure that the surface is rinsed with plenty of clean water.

UltraCare HD Cleaner can be used diluted 1 : 5 to remove wax finish treatment either water-based and metallic waxes, to either remove them completely or to prepare the surface for reapplication.

Theoretical Coverage:

With one litre of UltraCare HD Cleaner diluted in a 1 : 20 ratio with water you can clean approximately 200 m2 surface.

Diluted in a 1 : 5 ratio with water coverage is approximately 30 m2 of surface area.

Consumption depends on dilution, the degree and type of dirt and the surface to be treated.
