Product Description

Remmers QP 100 is a very fast reacting transparent binder for blind coatings that can full cure down to 0°C.

Best Uses

Remmers QP 100 is formulated as a base coat for blind coatings, as a transparent fixing layer for flake coatings or as a transparent top sealant. For professional users only.

The substrate must be load bearing, dimensionally stable, sound, free of loose constituents, dust, oil, grease, rubber tyre marks and other substances that could interfere with adhesion. Tensile strength of the surface of the substrate must be 1.5 N/mm² on average (smallest value of at least 1,0 N/mm²) and compressive strength at least 25 N/mm².

The use of suitable Remmers epoxy primers or scratch coats is mandatory. Compatible with Remmers MB 2K. Please refer to the current Technical Data Sheets of the single products as well as to the Remmers system recommendations for further details.

Epoxy Mortar
The material can be filled up to a mixing ratio of 1 : 10 by weight and distributed with a smoothing trowel and then smoothed. Application rate per mm of layer
thickness : approx. 0.2 kg/m² of binder and 2.0 kg/m² of Selectmix 0/10 Base coat for blind coatings. Apply the material filled up to 1 : 1 on the previously prepared
surface and distribute with a suitable toothed trowel / squeegee. The surface must immediately be worked over with a spiked roller. Immediately thereafter abundantly
apply a suitable blinding material on the still fresh surface. Application rate: approx. 0.75 kg/m² of binder and approx. 0.75 kg/m² of Selectmix 01/03

Fixation Of Flake Coverings
Before the application of the fixation layer the flakes (Remmers Sediment Flakes or Colorid) must always be ground with a black nylon pad. Pour the material generously on the surface. Distribute with suitable means, e.g. a rubber squeegee, and then roll over with an epoxy roller. Avoid the formation of pools. Application rate: 0.2 – 0.4 kg/m² of binder.

Top Sealant
Apply the material with a rubber squeegee and then roll over crosswise with a suitable epoxy roller. Application rate: 0,5 - 0,7 kg/m² of binder (depending on the blinding material)
