Product Description

Rust-Oleum Noxyde PLUS is a single pack, water-based elastomeric coating based on a silane modified acrylic binder. Provides superior adhesion and corrosion protection for metal cladding.

Best Uses

Rust-Oleum Noxyde PLUS is a rust preventive and waterproofing coating for metal cladding for exterior and interior use. This metal cladding paint is formulated for use on iron, steel, special alloys, galvanised and metallised iron and steel, aluminium, copper, zinc, lead, etc.

Rust-Oleum Noxyde PLUS is also suitable as an adhesion primer when diluted with 25% water for slightly or non porous substrates such as glass, smooth bricks and concrete, ceramics, tiles, etc.

  • All in one primer and topcoat
  • Paint dry fall therefore saving preparation & clean up time
  • Suitable for exterior and interior use
  • Provides excellent adhesion
  • High dirt pick up resistance
  • 200% elastic - Does not crack or peel

The product contains anti-corrosion pigments and is lead, chromate and zinc free.

Application

Remove grease, oil and all other surface contaminations by alkaline or high pressure (steam) cleaning (max. 200 Bars) in combination with appropriate detergents. The substrate has to be dust free and made rust free by means of sandblasting (Sa2), manual cleaning (St2) or high pressure water jetting (min. 600 Bars). After jetting, the substrate has to be dust free.

On new galvanised surfaces, new zinc, aluminium, stainless steel, apply first a coat of Rust-Oleum Pegalink or Rust-Oleum PVDF Primer. On ferrous substrates, apply Rust-Oleum Noxyde Plus in red or grey as the first coat. In all instances apply contrasting Noxyde Plus colours for subsequent layers.

To ensure homogeneity, coating materials should be thoroughly stirred mechanically prior to use. Apply via brush, roller or airless spray.

When used for interior works, provide for adequate ventilation. During work stoppage, fully immerse brush or nozzle in water. Product is recoatable after 24 hours with itself. Do not apply outside if rain is expected within 24 hours. Maximum wet film thickness: 600μm.

Compatible  topcoats are Rust-Oleum Coating PRT, Rust-Oleum Alkythane 7500, Rust-Oleum Metal Cladding Topcoat, Rust-Oleum Paracem range, Rust-Oleum Pegacryl Satin.
