Sika MonoTop 3020 Formerly Monotop 620
Sika MonoTop 3020 is a high performance, low shrinkage, surface finishing and repair mortar for both interior and exterior use. It uses recycled materials meaning it has a reduced carbon footprint and is better for the environment. Formerly Monotop 620.
Best Uses
Sika MonoTop 3020 is for use by experienced professionals. It is ideal for use as a levelling mortar as well as for repairing minor defects in concrete. Monotop 3020 is suitable for structures that require a Class R1, R2 or R3 mortar. Compatible with Sikagard® overcoat systems, it has an A1 Fire rating.
Application
Any substrate must be thoroughly cleaned, free from dust, loose material, surface contamination and materials which reduce adhesion or prevent suction, or wetting by repair materials. De-laminated, weak, damaged and deteriorated substrates, and where necessary sound substrates, must be removed by suitable preparation equipment. Follow appropriate instructions on the product data sheet for each specific substrate and application method.
Finishing for all types of application must be carried out to the required surface texture using suitable finishing tools as soon as the mortar has started to stiffen.
Curing
Protect fresh mortar immediately from premature drying using an appropriate curing method, e.g. curing compound, moist geotextile membrane, polythene sheet, etc. Curing compounds must not be used when they could adversely affect subsequently applied products and systems.
