Sika Rapid Repair Mortar is a one component fast setting cementitious repair mortar, meeting the requirements of Class R4 of BS EN 1504-3
Sika Rapid Repair Mortar is pre bagged for quality and only requires mixing with water. Containing no chloride admixtures, this product has a high early strength, is rapid setting, can be overcoated and is non corrosive for steel.
Sika Rpaid Repair Mortar is suitable for repairing all types of structures either horizontally or vertically. Ideal for floor slabs or car park decks, this product is suitable for exterior and interior use in place of R1, R2 and R3 mortars.
If Applying To Concrete: The concrete shall be free from dust, loose material, surface contamination and materials which reduce bond or prevent suction or wetting by repair materials. For Steel Reinforcement: Rust, scale, mortar, concrete, dust and other loose and deleterious material which reduces bond or contributes to corrosion shall be removed to a minimum standard of SA2 1/2. Reference should also be made to BS EN1504-10:2003 for specific requirements. The edges where concrete is removed should be cut at a minimum angle of 90° to avoid undercutting and a maximum angle of 135° to reduce the possibility of debonding with the top surface of the adjacent sound concrete and should be roughened sufficiently to provide a mechanical key between the original material and Sika Rapid Repair Mortar. Ensure sufficient concrete is removed from around reinforcement to allow coating and compaction of the repair material. On a well prepared and roughened substrate a bonding primer is generally not required.Refer to Data Sheets prior to use.
Mix ~ 2.5 to 3.0 L of water for 25 kg powder. Sika Rapid Repair Mortar can be mixed with a slow speed (< 500 rpm) electric drill mixer or forced action mixer. In small quantities only, product can also be mixed by hand. Pour the water in the correct proportion into a suitable mixing container. While stirring slowly, add the powder to the water. Mix thoroughly for at least 3 minutes to the required consistency. When mixed, the product may be bulked out with dry, dust free aggregates (30% by wt of 3-6 mm granite chippings) and remixed to a uniform consistency.

The manufacturers data sheets are available for download from this website. It is your responsibility to read and understand all aspects of the data sheets before you place an order and prior to application. Please pay special attention to the preparation, mixing and application temperatures of the product, cleaning of substrate and environmental factors such as temperature, rain etc. Quoted coverage rates are based on the manufacturers theoretical rates and may vary depending upon substrates absorption, texture and application. We always recommend a test is carried out to ensure suitability.
Customer further agrees that Promain have no liability for any errors or omissions contained within the Product Data Sheets and are not liable for failure due to misapplication or inadequate substrate cleaning and preparation. For more information please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
