Sika Sikagard 680S Betoncolor Clearglaze

Sika Sikagard® 680S Betoncolor Clearglaze is a quick drying, protective coating for exposed aggregate concrete.

Sikagard® 680S is a solvent coating which is based on methacrylic resins and is resistant to weathering, alkalis and ageing. It provides a clear glossy coating and is suitable for mineral substrates including concrete and other cementitious surfaces.

Sikagard® 680S Clearglaze protects and enhances concrete and cementitious materials on buildings and infrastructures. It is suitable for the protection against ingress, provision of moisture control and increasing the resistivity on exposed aggregate concrete.

Application

Sikagard® 680S Clearglaze has quick drying properties, affording a coating which is rain resistant within a short time after application. It is recommended that 50 percent of Sikagard® 680S Clear Glaze is added to the first coat of Sikagard® 680S Top Coat, when applying to very absorbent and/or porous substrates. This will strengthen the substrate and reduce the risk of a patchy appearance.

Surface and Environment

Sikagard® 680S Clearglaze provides a colourless clear glaze which dries to a glossy protective and/or refresher coating for exposed aggregate concrete. Sikagard® 680S Clearglaze delivers excellent weather resistant properties and is based on a methacrylic resin with fast evaporating solvents. There is minimal change to the texture characteristics, when applied to the concrete surface.

Sikagard® 680S protects concrete substrates against penetration from the salts and gases which cause atmospheric attack. Sikagard® 680S also resists carbon dioxide, thus reducing the rate and depth of carbonation to the concrete.
