Coo-Var Pro-Netic Water Based Magnetic Chalkboard Paint is a dual-purpose coating that can produce a surface to which magnets will attach and is also suitable as a chalkboard.
Best Uses
Coo-Var Pro-Netic Magnetic Chalk Board Paint provides a matt black finish which can create a magnetic notice board on suitably prepared wall areas, wooden board and MDF surfaces, test other surfaces before use. Ideal for offices, schools, playgroups, art installations, restaurants, cafés and much more.
Application
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, oil and any other contaminates. Existing painted surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate key is produced. Remove all loose, flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate then prepare accordingly. Mix well before use. As dictated by normal good painting practice. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying. Do not paint when temperature will be at or below 7°C during the painting and drying process. Apply direct on to walls and wood. On non ferrous metal use Coo-Var W201 All Metals Primer. Apply a minimum of 3 coats by brush. Do not paint when temperature will be at or below 7°C during the painting and drying process.
For use as a chalkboard: To prime your chalkboard, lay a piece of chalk on its side and cover the entire board liberally with chalk. Rub it in with a dry rag and then erase. Chalkboards are porous, so if you do not prime there is a risk the first markings will be there permanently.
