Graphenstone Biosphere Premium is a lime based natural paint with a matte white finish suitable for exterior masonry. Ideal for construction, restoration and repainting, it absorbs CO2 as it cures (the majority within the first 30 days following application) and is also highly breathable.

Best Uses

Graphenstone Biosphere Premium is a natural lime based paint which acts as a natural preservative thus eliminating the use of harmful chemicals and/or carcinogenic materials. Manufactured with Graphenstone technology, Biosphere Premium provides resistance, durability and prevention of condensation on exterior walls.

Graphenstone Biosphere Premium provides a quality natural matte finish. Tintable to Graphenstone's Soft Selection of colours.

  • High covering power
  • Anti-Carbonation - Absorbs CO2 (5.5kg per 15L - 15.3Lb per 5Gal)
  • Washable - Graphenstone Biosphere Premium has a class 1 wet scrub rating
  • Biosphere Premium has an SD value of 1, meaning it is highly breathable and eliminates condensation
  • Outstanding adherence, resistance and durability
  • Excellent flexibility, reducing cracking
  • Free of VOC emissions and formaldehydes

Suitable for use on exterior masonry substrates such as plaster, gypsum, mortars, old paint, prefabricated panels and brick or perlite. Graphenstone Biosphere Premium is ideal for application in construction, restoration and repainting, including areas such as car parks, home masonry, office blocks and more!

Application

The substrate must be dry, firm, well adhered, even and free of any impurities that could hinder the perfect bonding of the product. Any organic growth and/or other impurities should be removed by thorough cleaning using specific products for this purpose such as Centrecoat GS36 Fungicidal Wash.

Depending on the nature of the surface, the preparation prior to application of the paint vary as follows:

  • Old glossy or satin paints and putties: clean the surface and sand softly
  • Absorbent substrates (e.g. concrete block or brick): Before application, apply Graphenstone Ambient Primer Premium.
  • If the substrate is wood, metal (without corrosion or oxidation) or non-porous (e.g. glazed tiles, phenolic panel, epoxy or polyurethane paints): Before application, apply Graphenstone Four2Four Premium

Shake and dilute with water using 5-10% per litre of product (Approx. 100-150ml water per litre of paint). Ensure good mixing. Avoid excessive shaking to minimise bubble occlusion.

Apply 2 or 3 coats evenly. Paint in sections, starting with borders. Without overloading the roller, dip it lightly into the paint to spread evenly. Do not paint over areas that are drying and avoid splices. Please note that an excess of product per coat can generate micro-fissures.

As Graphenstone Biosphere Premium is a lime-based paint, it is very important to respect the drying time between coats to realise optimal paint coverage.

At 25°C and 60% relative humidity drying time is 2-4 hours between coats and 24-hour drying time per coat. Total curing occurs after 30 days, presenting good hardness and resistance. It is advisable not to clean and/or scrub during this period.
