Available in 15,000 colours from the Mapei ColorMap colour system.
Elastocolor Pittura Paint once dried, forms a very elastic film, impermeable to water, but permeable to vapour (micro-porous), and at the same time gives the treated structure a pleasant aesthetic appearance. Due to its elastic characteristics it is suitable for application to Resitex used on Park Homes, Elastocolor protects and waterproofs concrete structures and renders which have hair-line cracks present as it forms a bridge over them with a strong and continuous coat. Use to protect the surfaces of concrete and cement renders from aggressive agents present in the atmosphere. Mapei Elastocolor is available in a vast range of colours that can be obtained with the ColorMap colour system.
Elastocolor Paint is a single component acrylic resin-based paint in water dispersion which forms a film on the surface due to the action of natural light. Once completely dry, Elastocolor Paint forms a flexible finishing coat which is impermeable to water and aggressive agents in the atmosphere (CO2 - SO2), while remaining permeable to vapour. Suitable for anti carbonation use.
Elastocolor Pittura Paint has excellent resistance to ageing, freezing weather conditions and de-icing salts, and the photo-chemical film which forms makes it very difficult for dirt to remain attached to the surface.
Mapei Elastocolor Paint meets the main requirements of EN 1504-9 ('Products and systems for protecting and repairing concrete structures: definitions, requirements, quality control and conformity assessment. General principles for the use and application of systems'),and the requirements of EN 1504-2 ('Protection systems for concrete surfaces') for class: products for protecting surfaces coatings (coating, C) - protection against the risk of penetration (1.3) (protection against ingress, PI) (ZA.1d) + control of humidity (2.2) (moisture control, MC), and increase in resistivity (8.2) (increasing resistivity, IR) (ZA.1e).
Elastocolor is applied by brush, roller or spray in 2 or 3 coats onto perfectly clean and dry substrates which have been previously treated with Elastocolor Primer or Malech depending on the absorbency of the substrate.
