Clear Road Marking Primer is a solvent based primer for bonding thermoplastic materials to concrete and worn bituminous surfaces than can be applied via brush or roller.
Clear Road Marking Primer is best used to improve the adhesion of thermoplastic materials to concrete, worn asphalt or other bituminous surfaces. This product is virtually colourless, has superior adhesion enhancement, is supplied ready to use, is fast drying and easy to apply.
Clear Primer can be applied by spraying or by brush or roller. Surface must be clean, dry and free from any contamination including dust, dirt oil, grease, laitance and curing agents. Particular attention should be given to ensuring the surface is free from salt, ice and moisture. The prepared surface must be totally covered with a thin, even coating of Roadtechs Clear Primer. Never pour onto the surface. Ensure the Clear Primer is thoroughly dry before applying subsequent thermoplastic materials. It is always advisable to try a test area first before proceeding with the main application.
- Theoretical Coverage: 12m2 per litre at 66 microns
- Apply between 1 - 50°C
- Can be applied via brush or roller
- Curing Time: Touch dry in 10 - 15 minutes. Overcoat after 30 minutes
- Store in a cool, well ventilated place
